POWDERLY – Jesse Charles Vincent, age 94, was born on September 1, 1930 on Branscom Hill, in the Graham area, to Wheeler and Retha Evitts Vincent. He arrived at his new home on Sunday May 4, 2025 at 12:44AM. The home he longed for. He passed away at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Jesse was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church for more than 65 years having served as a Sunday school teacher to 5th and 6th graders for more than 30 years. Jesse worked for ZinsMaster/Wetterau/Super Value for over 38 years.

Jesse coached many young men in Little League and Babe Ruth. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren/great-grandchildren play baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. In the last few years, he enjoyed hearing of their activities when they visited or called. He loved this family “Big.”

Jesse is survived by the love of his life for 72 years, 11 months, and 4 days, Helen Poyner Vincent; his sons, Steve (Debbie) Vincent of Salt Lick, KY and Jonathan (Veronique) Vincent of Lexington; his daughter, Kay (Ed) Hibbs of Powderly; his grandchildren, Monica (Kavin) Gunterman, Bryon (Danyelle) Vincent, Corey (Heather) Hibbs, Laurie (Jeff) Bobyack, Madeleine Arganbright and Myriam Arganbright; his great-grandchildren, Jordan Gunterman, Deseau Pryor, Haley Gunterman, Austin (Catlin) Fields, Braydon Hibbs, Jaxson Vincent, Landon (Sarah) Gunterman, Karson Alverson, Kassidy Stewart, Anlen (Colton) Mabry, Bryken Bobyack, Caden Bobyack, and Ryley Vincent; great-great-grandchildren, Renee Pryor, Travis Pryor, Everette Gunterman, Raelynn Blythe, Kyra Hibbs, and Beau Fields.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 12PM at Second Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating, assisted by Dr. Kevin Milburn. Burial in East Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 6-8PM, and Wednesday morning after 8AM at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
