
Janice Faye Easler Poole, age 67, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on May 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family in her home.
Born in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 12, 1957 Janice brought warmth, light, and kindness to every life she touched. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, John Poole for 35 years, and a loving mother to Renae Story (Ben), David Colognesi, and Kelsey Cobb (Bradlen). Seeing her kids happy was the joy of her life. She poured her heart into her role as a wife, mother, Neenie, daughter, sister and caregiver to so many.
Janice was affectionately known as “Momma J” to many beyond her own family. Her door and heart were always open to others, and she made a lasting impact on countless lives with her gentle wisdom and welcoming spirit.
She leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren—Tucker, Wyatt, Lincoln, Caster, Viola, Cade, and Calvin—who will carry her memory forward with love. Janice is also survived by her brothers, Larry Easler, Terry Easler, and Jerry Easler, as well as five nephews and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her daddy and momma, Marvin & Faye Easler as well as several aunts and uncles.
Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering kindness. Janice will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with a private family burial at a later date at Rosehill cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday and from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
