Linda Carol Basham Wall, 69, of Owensboro, departed her earthly home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, to join her heavenly father surrounded by her loving husband of 23 years, Richard, and her children. Linda was born to the late Robert Taylor and Dorothy Finley on August 24, 1955, along with her sisters, Bobbie Sue, Lorrie and Cindy. She was a devoted wife, mother, mamaw, daughter, sister and friend. Linda enjoyed taking care of her home and family, serving the Lord, visiting with friends, but she especially enjoyed the time spent with her special grandson, Christian Davis, with whom she shared an unshakable bond. He was the light in her eyes, joy in her world and her whole heart. Linda was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and loved the Lord.
Also to carry on Linda’s legacy are her children, Sherry Beth Madewell, Darrin Davis, Dustin (Heather) Basham, Molly (Shane) Bates; grandchildren Justice, Jordan, Jacob, James, Jazmine, Aaden, Alexis, Alyssa, Josh and Danny; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
