Susan Earhart, 83, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Flint, Michigan, on April 2, 1942, Susan grew up in Cheboygan, Michigan and later made her home in Waterford, Michigan, where she and her husband Dale raised their family. In 2013, she moved to Owensboro, Kentucky, to be closer to her beloved grandchildren. A devoted follower of Christian Science and a Proud American, Susan lived her faith through service — as a church volunteer, Sunday school teacher, and dedicated clerk. She worked as a housekeeper by trade, known for her commitment and kind heart. She loved crafts, gardening, nature and had a special fondness for Santa Claus, whose spirit of joy and giving matched her own. Susan also loved to dance, and her joyful energy was contagious to everyone around her. Above all, she cherished her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale (of 63 years); daughters Maude Earhart and Megan Brannon (Matt); and granddaughters Maddie and Morgan, all of whom were the light of her life.
A graveside memorial service will be held later this summer in Cheboygan, Michigan, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Susan’s life and legacy. Susan’s gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and everlasting arms of love will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
