James Dwight Archie passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by his beloved wife, Teri, and cherished family members. He was deeply loved by many and will be fondly remembered for his kindness, warmth, and dedication to those around him.
James worked for Rager Fencing and Mowing, where he was known for his hard work and commitment to excellence. His presence brought joy to friends, colleagues, and family alike, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched.
James is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Teri, as well as his stepdaughter, Whitney (Chris) Boehman; three stepsons, Michael Thomas, Wayne Thomas, and William (Victoria) Boehman; and eleven grandchildren: Katlyn Carner, Isiah Fegett, Nevada Fegett, Kameron Fegett, Sadie Lynn Peterson, Cheyenne Peterson, Gabby Thomas, William Boehman IV, Vaelene Boehman, Angel Thomas, and Derek Thomas. He also leaves behind two brothers, two sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
A celebration of James’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
James Dwight Archie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his love and laughter will never be forgotten.
