Carlene Conquest, 86, of Owensboro, passed away May 9, 2025, under the compassionate care of her daughters with the assistance of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on January 10, 1939, in Adams, Tennessee and she was the beloved daughter of the late Audie Lee and Lela Dixie Brooksher.
Carlene was a quiet woman who valued her independence. She lived alone for as long as she was able and enjoyed her own company. In the evenings, she liked to relax and watch television, especially reality shows. Her grandchildren brought great joy into her life. She was a strong and loving mother who raised five beautiful daughters on her own, guiding them with love, strength, and unwavering support. Carlene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Carlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Conquest.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Regina Wood, Lisa Stahl, Kathy (John) Bross, and Dana Conquest; sisters, Elizabeth Sanders and Mary Alice (Mike) Callis; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.
