Jerry Richard Shepherd, 68, of Owensboro, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 23, 1950 in Utica to the late Joe Lambert and Reva Shepherd Pagan. Jerry retired from Whirlpool Corp and enjoyed hunting and playing poker.
Jerry is survived by son, Johnathon “Big John” Shepherd Sr.; grandchildren, Keely Creager, Elizabeth Morris, Jesse Morris, Johnathon Wayne Shepherd Jr., Mason James Shepherd and Journey Elizabeth Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Xavier Binns, Aleena Binns, and Kingston Davidson; sister, Charlotte Spade; brother, Randall Pagan; and ex-wife, Brenda Shepherd.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Bethabara Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
