
Bonnie Gail Durbin Morris, age 73, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Owensboro, Kentucky. Born and raised in Daviess County, Kentucky, Bonnie devoted her life to her family and to the values of kindness, resilience, and faith. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her with her warm spirit, quick wit, and unwavering love. Her home was a place of comfort and laughter. Bonnie’s homemade meals, especially her “Bonnie Sweet Tea” was shared with those she cherished most.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul and Dorothy Hamilton Durbin; brother, Daniel Wayne Durbin; sons, William (Billy) Lindsey II and Steven Bruce Morris; as well as her husband James O. Morris.
Bonnie leaves behind her sister, Paula (Ron) Bowlds; brothers, Ron (Judie) Durbin and John (Julie) Durbin; sister-in-law, Barbara Durbin; eight nieces and nephews, Jeanie, Penny, Ron, Heather, Wayne, Travis, Lauren, and JP; and three great-grandsons, William, Zyler and Kaylob.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Pius Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bonnie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 3815-9959.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the same love she so freely gave.
