Cheryl Ann Roberts, 69, of Philpot, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her friends and family. She was born September 8, 1955 in Daviess County to the late Charles and Carol Hardesty Payne. Cheryl retired from Ragu. She had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party. Cheryl enjoyed playing softball and was known as “Catfish”. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Payne; and a son-in-law, Paul West.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheri White (Jason) of Maceo and Lynn West (Don) of Hartford; four grandchildren, Kala (Jason), Kara (Andy), Mason (Sarah), and Shelbie; a great-grandson, Brayden; great-granddaughter, Hadley siblings, Kathy Polites, Charlie Payne (Goldie), and Steve Payne (Debbie); several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Donna Ray.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
