William Grant Kirkman, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at his home. He was born June 14, 1937 in Todd County to the late William D. Kirkman and Florence Francies Kirkman. William had worked at KMI as a mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Dennison Kirkman; second wife, Barbara Clements Kirkman; and siblings, Bernard, Hubert, Holbert, and Bernis Kirkman, Verdie Williams, Vernell Williams, and Anna Jean Shock.
He is survived by a two daughters, Marnie Kirkman and Joni Beth Sutherland (John); four grandchildren, William Andrew Kirkman, Josie Burden, Janie Sutherland, and Coy Sutherland; five great-grandchildren, King, Skye, Rain, Oceane, and Isabella; sister, Kathleen Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sorgho. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
