Anthony “Scotty” Smalls, 38, of Owensboro, passed away on June 26, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1986, to Lynn Johnston and the late Sandra Smalls Willis.
Scotty had a passion for songwriting and spent countless hours putting his thoughts into lyrics. He was an avid fan of UK basketball and never missed a wrestling match, cheering on his favorites with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything he loved. Scott attended Greater Vision Baptist Church.
Along with his mother, Scotty is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ora Lee Johnston and Lynn Johnston, Sr; his aunts, Sherri Johnston and Carolyn Poole; his uncle, Alan Johnson, and his cousins, Eric Hayden and Nicholas Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Felicia Shultz; his father, Lynn (Cindy) Johnston; his siblings, Samantha Wingfield, Ashley Stinnett, Joel Harker (Samantha), Nicole Johnston, and Jaxon Tate; his grandmother, Sandra Blaine; his cousin and best friend, Scott Devins, Jr.; many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his lifelong friends, Jessica Raley and Chasity Durbin.
Services will be held at Greater Vision Baptist Church on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Joe Ballard officiating. Friends and family are invited to visitation, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of service.
