Robert Wayne “Bob” Nix, 84, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on November 6, 2024 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was born January 23, 1940 in Owensboro to the late Harold Courtney Nix and Helen Agnita Bell Nix. Robert was the retired president of Eagles Nest Homes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Nix; and a sister, Marsha Nix Rush.
He is survived by four daughters, Robin Pomeroy (Paul Young), Lesley Littlejohn, Helen Williams, and Joyel Duff; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Nix Hackler; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, class of 1958 He enjoyed cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team and an afternoon of NASCAR racing.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Elmwood Cemetery. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
