Malcom Lee Gardner

July 9, 1948 - June 18, 2019

Malcolm Lee Gardner, 70, of Owensboro, passed away June 18, 2019 at home. He was born July 9, 1948 in Dixon, KY to the late William Frank and Bessie Owen Gardner. Malcolm was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s in science and accounting and retired as CFO from Owensboro National Bank. He was an avid U.K. fan and was a caring, compassionate and loving man, whose family meant the world to him. Malcolm was also preceded in death by brothers, Paul Gardner, David Gardner, William Darrell Gardner and sisters, Carolyn Slemp and Reva Shoulders.

Malcolm is survived by his son, James Gardner; daughter, Ashley Gardner all of Owensboro; sister, Theresa Ann Gardner; brothers, Granville “Jerry” Gardner, Roger Gardner and Terry Gardner (Susan); and grandchildren, Kalista Gardner, Elysia Bartley, and Olive Langdon and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY
