Ronald Madewell, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky. He was born February 1, 1937 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late Arbert Beatty. Ronald retired from Frito-Lay and worked at Don Moore Automotive after retirement. He was an U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Madewell; and a son, Jimmy Madewell.
He is survived by three sons, David Madewell (Suzy), Derrick Madewell (Sheila), and Jeff Madewell (Kim); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
