Vivian Frances Jewell Howard, 90, of Owensboro died Saturday, September 6, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on August 18, 1935 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Martin T. Jewell and Pansy Fray Jewell.
Vivian loved watching her hummingbirds, cooking, and texting and messaging her many Facebook friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Luther Howard on March 17, 2009; and her brother, Henry Jewell.
Survivors include two sons, Robin (Carolyn) Howard and Christopher Howard; a daughter, Lori (Phil) Cecil; grandchildren, Kira Zoe (Dominic) Splattstossoer, Ethan (Morgan) Howard, Brody Cecil and Chase Cecil; a great-grandchild, Chelle Splattstossoer; a sister, Marlin Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
