Bobby Eugene Waddell, 73, died on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Louisville, KY, on March 24, 1952, the son of Givens Waddell, Jr. and Wilma Jean Fields. He retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department after working as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and was in the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Billy Waddell, and a sister Brenda Mercer.
Funeral services will be private. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Pyott Waddell of Nelson Creek, KY; one son, Bobby Joe Waddell of Nelson Creek, KY; two daughters, Michelle Waddell/Mullen of Greenville, KY and Jessie (Jarod) Boyd of Central City, KY; seven grandchildren, China (Jordan) Pelkey, Courtney (Robert) Geary, Kellie (Tyler Evans) Waddell, Jacklynn Waddell, Thomas Kellogg, Chase Boyd; Eight great grandchildren, Jaiyden, Madelynn, Elijah, Taelyn, Axton, Liam, Brynlynn, Sylphie; one sister, Norma Jean Avery of Nelson Creek, KY.
