Mary Margaret Isbell Johnson, 71, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 9, 1954 in Owensboro to the late Norman K. Isbell and Margaret Hardin Isbell. Mary was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School. She had worked as an investor reporter for a mortgage company and attended Woodward Valley Baptist Church. Mary experienced many years of pain and suffering, yet exhibited her faith in Jesus with her loving spirit. She enjoyed crafting, counted cross-stitch, and knitting and crocheting prayer shawls and lap throws for church ministry. Mary loved spending time at home with family and friends and family celebrations.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years and the love of her life, Denzil Ray Johnson; two dear sons, Christopher Michael Johnson and Nicholas Alexander Johnson; and a brother, David K. Isbell (Donna)
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
