Pamela J. Hines

Pamela J. Hines, 76, of Owensboro passed away January 5, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1949, to the late Paul Causey and Avis (Wingerning) Brown.

Pamela was a devoted member and charitable donor to the Humane Society, ASPCA, and St. Joseph’s Indian School. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid reader, and was known for her extraordinary kindness and generosity. Deeply altruistic at heart, Pamela was an activist who cared passionately about people, animals, and causes that uplifted the vulnerable, leaving a lasting impact through both her actions and her compassion.

Along with her parents, Pamela is preceded in death by her daughters, Jennifer Ilarraza and Karen Hines; her sisters, Penelope Causey and Jerri Holtz; her brothers, Michael Causey and Hank Holtz, and her life partner, Ralph Kohl.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sally (Joaquim) Gomes, Erin Bukhari, Billy Hines, and Sandra (Frank) Fender; her grandchildren, Yasmin Hines and Alex Bricis; her siblings, Steven Causey, Debbie Stubbe, and Alex Brown, and her cherished friend, Sharon Jourdan.

Private family services will take place at a later date.
