Charles Wayne Loney, 84, of Greenville, KY died on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was born in Muhlenberg County, on September 13th, 1941, the son of Givens Loney and Margaret Roberts Loney. He retired from TVA as an electrician in 1994 after 32 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force with the rank of Airman 2nd Class.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rondal Loney and Jimmy Loney, two sisters, Abigail Loney and Gaynell Loney.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10th, at 2:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville conducted by Rev. Kerry Vincent. Burial will follow in New Cypress Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Harper Loney of Greenville, KY and one daughter, Leslie Loney of Greenville, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until time of funeral on Saturday, January 10th at Gary’s Funeral Home.
