
Rose Marie Wink, age 77, of Owensboro, KY, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2026, at Chautauqua Heath and Rehabilitation. She was born on Dec 26, 1948, in Owensboro, KY to the late Edward Eugene Sr. and Susan Greenwell Wink. Rose was raised on a farm in Utica, she attended St. Anthony Grade School at Browns Valley, Mount St Joseph Academy, Owensboro Catholic High School, and was a 1968 graduate of Daviess County High School. She then furthered her education at Owensboro Business College.
Rose enjoyed reading, crocheting, and had a lifelong passion for genealogy. She found great joy in researching her family’s history and preserving the stories of those who came before her. Rose was known for her excellent cooking in various restaurants in Owensboro and working in local business offices.
Rose was also preceded in death by her sister, Marty Lashbrook; and her brothers, Bobby, Tony, Paul, and Bernie Wink.
Rose is survived by her siblings, Gene (Pauline) Wink Jr. of Utica, Julia Rynerson of Franklin, IN, Richard (Carolyn) Wink of Owensboro, Susan (Mike) Smith of Hardinsburg, Mary Alice Stratman of Newburg, IN, Carol Smith of Owensboro, and Annette (Mike) Stiff of Forest, VA. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Per Rose’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation and the burial will be private.
The family sincerely appreciates the compassion and care shown to Rose by the staff at Chautauqua during her stay there.
