
Roger Warner Vanover, 66, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born November 4, 1959 in Owensboro to the late Luther Edward Vanover and Dorothy Ann Miller Vanover. Roger was outgoing and loved his family and friends. In his early years, he played basketball, football, and baseball. In recent years, he watched NASCAR and college football. His favorite professional teams include the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals. Roger loved hunting and fishing. He had worked for Carpets Unlimited, Kentuckiana Livestock Market, Wholesale Florist, UAF, and Bayline Cabinets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Daryl Vanover and Barry Vanover; and a brother-in-law, Steve Bunner.
He is survived by a son, Michael Warner Vanover; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Caryl Bunner and Lisa Banks (Roger); two nephews, Rod Vanover and Chris Vanover; two nieces, Tammy LaForce and Crystal Bush; and special friends, The Thompson family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
