Gary Dean White

Gary Dean White, 78, of Philpot passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his residence under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on December 21, 1940 in Pleasant Ridge to the late James Earnest and Winnie Dean Welch White. Gary preached at Church of Christ for 18 years and was retired from Owensboro Heath Regional Hospital where he worked as an Electronic Technician. He enjoyed reading, University of Kentucky basketball, playing cards, especially Canasta.

Along with his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his sisters, Jamie Jones, Dorothy Wigginton, and his brother, James White,

Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karla Marie White, his children, Laurie (Steve) Edmonds, Tina (Ricky) Copeland, his step-son Patrick Jason Kirby, his grandchildren Brittany, David, Justin, McKenzie, Kody, Jason, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Chris Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, and again from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
