Danny Stanley, 70, of Greenville, KY went to meet the Lord on Monday March 9th, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born April 23rd, 1955 in Greenville KY, the son of Virgil Stanley Jr. and Dorothy Louise Day Stanley. He was a member of South Carrollton Missionary Baptist Church and a devoted fan of the Louisville Cardinals. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and he had a passion for playing softball. He enjoyed tinkering with things and was always working on a project or fixing something. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather who cherished his family. He never missed an opportunity to tell those around him that he loved them, a reminder that will be deeply treasured by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Olivia Stanley, two sisters, Ruby Stanley and Shelia Scott, and two brothers, Richard Stanley and Larry Stanley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY officiated by Rev. Roger Heltsley. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Depoy, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Stanley; four daughters, Stephanie Wells, April (Ronald) Peterson, Becky (Shannon) Level, Christina (Jon) Erickson; one son, Jake (Lynsey) Stanley; Twenty-three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda (Robert) Davis; two brothers, David (Kathy) Stanley and Lee Roy (Gail) Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY and from 10:00 A.M. Thursday March 12th, until time of funeral service.
