It is with heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Mark Andrew Tennant, who left this world on March 2, 2026, at the age of 69. Mark was a man who lived with a kind heart and child-like joy. He was a dedicated auto mechanic for many years, but his true passion was music. It was through his bass playing, singing, and song writing, he was able to spread his wings.
He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Marie Lewe; stepfather, Chong Kook Lewe, and father, Evans Andrew Tennant (Ellen).
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Patricia; children, Jacqueline Tennant (Benjamin Laakonen) and Andrew Luis Tennant; grandchildren, Usagi Laakonen and Benjamin Laakonen, Jr.; brother, Robert H. Lewe, M.D. (Elizabeth Holloman); nieces and nephews, Mary Hazel Lewe, Robert Chong Landon Lewe, Allen Burke, Jessica Funkhouser (Travis), Daniel Rodriguez, Monica Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rocio Hall (David) and Jorge Rodriguez (Marcela); extended family including aunt, Doris Hackley, and his closest cousins, David Hackley (Sandra), Frank Hackley (Jayne), and Beth Donelan; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Though we grieve the loss of his physical presence, we carry forth his creativity, his warmth, and his unwavering love. His life was a masterpiece – not because it was perfect, but because it was authentic and full of heart. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
A funeral mass will be held to honor Mark sometime in the future as his family takes time for themselves in this time of loss.
