Joseph Sylvester Young, 85, of Owensboro, passed away March 23, 2026. He was born in Owensboro on April 27, 1940, to the late William Edward and Mary Magdeline Young.
Joseph found joy in farming, hunting, dancing, and cooking on the grill, where he loved bringing family and friends together over a good meal.
Along with his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his siblings, Matthew Young, Charles Edward Young, Thomas Louis Young, J.D. Young, Clifton Vincent Young, and Mary Aull.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, William Joseph Young and Mary Lou Young, and his siblings, Dorothy Drury, Theresa Barnett, and Rosemary Foster.
