Deborah Rose Reeves, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1950 in Elgin, IL to the late Howard and Ethel Bakley Reeves. Deborah grew up and enjoyed living on the family farm in Huntley, IL with her 11 siblings. She loved her family and always kept in touch. Deborah loved animals, but horses were her favorite ones. She was a selfless and giving person. She loved children, and kids enjoyed being around her fun nature.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her siblings, Duane Reeves, Donald Reeves, Delcia Nelson and Denice Jackson.
Survivors include her children, Brad Mathey (Katie), Corey Mathey (Michelle), Jennifer Stockinger (Ben) and Jared Mathey (Crystal); grandchildren, Chase Mathey, Connor Mathey, Caleb Mathey, Stella Stockinger, Maxwell Stockinger, Violet Mathey and Dashal Mathey; siblings, Dorothy Piske, Dolores Hayward, Donna Warner, Darryl Reeves, David Reeves, Daniel Reeves and Deanna Dominique; and many nieces and nephews.
Two verses from Psalm 37 meant so much to her: verse 11 “But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” And verse 29 “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it”
