Cheryl “Nana” Louise Smith, 64, of Owensboro, passed away on March 23, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1961 in El Paso, TX to the late Raleigh Gene & Helen Louise Mills. Nana was a member of Matthews Table and retired from Motel 6.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two children, Ronnie Dale Canary and Mandy Louise Canary; and her brother, Ronald Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Dale Smith; children, Angel Mills, Bryant Keith Clary, Christopher Gene Mills, Ben Allen Canary, and David Earl Canary; siblings, Diana Gaddis, Flora Lewis, and Garrison Gene Mills; 25 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephew.
Private service will be held at James H. Davis Funeral Home.
