Peggy Ann Rose, 74, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on May 28, 1951, in Sebree, Kentucky, Peggy lived a life defined by warmth, devotion, and an unmistakable spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Peggy was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ann Board. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. Peggy took pride in her gardening. She taught her grandchildren her love for the outdoors. Many pets filled her family’s hearts throughout the years including her beloved Butchy, Xena, Bella, and Gemma to name a few.
Peggy is preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Burlingame, Donna Snodgrass, and Beverly Mattingly.
Those left to cherish Peggy’s memory include her sons, Tony (Anna) Rose, Doug (Kathy) Rose, and Eddie Rose; nine grandchildren: Aaron (Norma) Rose, Tiffany Aksup, Tamara Head, Jessica Head, Anville (Wayne) Millay, Alonah (Clint) Gibson, and Destiny Rose; her brother, Danny Board (Pam), of Hardinsburg, and her sister, Sheila Henning (Mike), of Hardinsburg.
Peggy had eleven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and cousins she loved dearly.
Services will be at noon on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends and family are invited to visitation, on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum.
