Dwain Earl Poynter, 65, of Philpot, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on January 4, 1961 in Owensboro to Elizabeth Ann Tyler Poynter and the late William Earl Poynter. Dwain worked as a design engineer for Hunter Douglas and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Mark Poynter.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Poynter.
Graveside services will be private at Brushy Fork Cemetery.
