
Peggy Lee Marsh, 76, passed peacefully into Heaven on April 19, 2026. She was born on August 18, 1949 to the late Walter and Nettie Cook. Peggy attended Owensboro High School and married the love of her life in June 1965. She was a devoted mother and wife, spending most of her life taking care of her family. She worked at Kmart, Wetzel’s and finally at IGA as a deli manager. She also volunteered at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital along with her husband. She was a member of Maceo Baptist Church and then First General Baptist Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed reading her bible and going to eat with her fellow church members.
She was preceded in death by her dearly missed husband, Robert Marsh; sisters Sue Boone and Bertha Hillegas; brothers, Allen Cook and Roger Cook; and a son-in-law, Ernest Hardy.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherrie (Larry) Vanover and Leslie Hardy, both of Owensboro; one son, John (Angie) Marsh of Lewisport, KY. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Heather Markwell and Jenna Harrison; and one grandson, Robert Anthony Marsh. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Bonnie Cook; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Lastly, she is survived by her dog Cinnamon, who kept her company after the loss of her husband.
The family would like to thank Redbank’s Nursing Home in Henderson, especially those working on the Harbor unit for her care the last few months of her illness.
Services will be private. James Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
