Joseph Darrell Wilson, age 74 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away April 21, 2026, at Norton Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on February 4, 1952, son of the late Robert and Thelma Compton Wilson. He retired from the Breckinridge County Road Department. He enjoyed reading, playing video games, watching wrestling and westerns – especially Gunsmoke and Hee Haw.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Pam Scott and brother Charles Wilson.
Joe is survived by Deborah, his wife of 40 years.
Children: Laura Hines (Don) and Jennifer Brown of Hardinsburg, KY; Trent Brown (Keitha) of Harned, KY and Craig Brown (Jennifer) of Hawesville, KY
15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren
2 sisters: Brenda Gilpin of Brandenburg, KY and Barbara Foster of West Virginia
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1 PM with burial in the Garfield Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Friday.
