Donnie Sheppard, 65, of Owensboro, passed away September 9, 2019. He was born August 16, 1954, in Leitchfield, KY to the late Norman and Opal Johnson Sheppard. Donnie was an avid guitar player and a big fan of UK basketball, The Beatles and Taylor Swift. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving our country in the Navy.
Donnie is survived by his children, Jennifer Sheppard and Jason Sheppard and his wife, Christa, and their mother, Becky Alvey; siblings, James Sheppard and his wife, Doris and Debbie Sheppard Bryant; and grandchildren, Bryson Gage, Hannah, and Hay lee Sheppard.
The funeral service will be 12pm Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm Tuesday evening, and from 10am until 12pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
