Sandra Armes, age 65, passed away April 24, 2026, just three days after her birthday on April 21. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sandra’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her role of “Mimi”. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always willing to give anything she had to help someone in need. She found happiness in simple pleasures – fishing, spending time with family and having late night conversations with friends. She will be remembered for her big heart, her strength, and the love she gave freely. Her memory will live on in the lives of all those she touched.
She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Spurling.
Sandra was the proud mother of four children: Derrick Sebastian (Jessica) and Shannon Sanders (Alex Douthitt) of Hardinsburg, KY; Jon Cole (Savannah) of Louisville, KY and Krystal Coe of Hardin County. She was a devoted “Mimi” to her many grandchildren – Lani, Eli, Jessa, Carleigha, Amara, Marcella, Nathan, Jordan, Reyna, Audrey, Jayden, Little John, Jace and Arian – as well as many foster grandchildren she lovingly embraced over the years.
She is also survived by her sisters Tammy Armes of McDaniels, KY; Terri Bush and Sherry Meredith of Elizabethtown, KY
Her brother Ricky Cruse (Sara) of New Albany, IN
Sandra shared a special bond with her longtime partner, Richard Coe and her lifelong best friend Robert Armes, both of whom she loved dearly.
