Daede Wilson, 18, of Owensboro, passed away on April 28, 2026, peacefully in his bed, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Owensboro on December 15, 2007, to Laura Moody and Randall Wilson.
Slated to graduate on May 15, 2026, Daede was a student of life in every sense. A talented Dungeon Master and avid gamer, he had a gift for storytelling and bringing people together. He found joy in good food, a challenging game of chess, and the simple moments spent with the people who meant the most to him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, as well as his dependable and devoted stepfather, Paul Moody; his grandparents, Debi and David “Old Man” McKannan, David and Cathy Wilson, GP Jim (James) Sharp, Carla Creamer, Kirk Moody, Shannon Moody and husband; his siblings, Phoenix Wallace, Jacen Dawson, Ellie Sheriff, Nick Doepp, and Kylee Buck; and his adopted siblings, Daisy, Bo, and Luke Clark.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
