Gary Edsel Walden, age 74 of Louisville, KY, passed away May 6, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born in Louisville on June 25, 1951, son of the late Kenneth E. Walden, Sr. and Mary Jane Powell Walden. Gary graduated from Southern High School where he was the pitcher in the finals of the state high school tournament during the late 1960’s. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed watching sports and walking at the mall for exercise. Gary attended Southeast Christian Church where he participated in several of the activities and made many friends.
Gary is survived by his brother Ken Walden (Linda) of Harned, KY
2 nephews and their families: Kenny and Teri Walden, Mia and Kenny, IV and Matt and Jaclyn Walden, Tripp and Bailey .
Graveside services will be held at Hebron Cemetery in Shepherdsville, KY on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11 AM central time.
