Wanda Faye Pierce, 64, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on May 12, 2026. She was born in Daviess County on October 18, 1961, and was the beloved daughter of the late Abe Staples and Betty Lou Barnett.
Wanda enjoyed hunting for a Dr. Pepper, fishing for a cigarette, and playing poker. Most of all though, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Ray Pierce; son, Clifton Pierce, daughter, Sabrina Pierce; sister, Mary Jane Staples; and great grandson, Kaleb Pierce.
Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Brenda (Brandon) Kasinger; brother, James Staples; sister, Paula (Darryl) Lanham; grandchildren, Decoda Boatman, Charles Pierce, Andrew Pierce, Brooklyn Pierce, Alisha Pierce, Jessie Kasinger, and Breanna Kasinger; along with several great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
