Sharon Denise Alsup, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Heartford House surrounded by the warmth of family and love. In her final moments, she knew nothing but love.

Born on January 27, 1962, in Daviess County, Sharon was the daughter of Elmer Lee Alsup and Mary Rebecca “Becky” Alsup. She was the second oldest of eight children and carried with her a strong love for family throughout her entire life.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rebecca “Becky” Alsup, and by the father of her children and lifelong love, Larry Thomas Troutman, whose passing deeply affected her.

She leaves behind her loving children, Paige (Otis) Sowders, Matthew (Alice) Troutman, and Shalen (Rodney) Walker. Though not by blood, Sharon always considered Melissa Hagan to be one of her daughters and loved her as her own. She was a proud grandmother to Peyton Isbell, Paisley Sowders, Axston Sowders, Gavynn Walker, and Brooklyn Moore, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her father, Elmer Alsup; her brothers, Keith Alsup, Brian Scott (Astrid) Alsup, Dennis (Jenni) Alsup, and Gerard Alsup; and her sisters, Pamela (Roger) Bishop, Rosita (Bruce) Sheldon, Amber (Wayne) Williams, and Linda (Calvin) Howe, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Sharon loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to her, and she would do absolutely anything for the people she loved. She worked as a server for many years, where her outgoing personality and warm spirit allowed her to connect with everyone she met. Sharon was truly a people person who never met a stranger.

She also had a love for fashion, adored the color pink, and in her younger years enjoyed modeling. Her sense of humor, bubbly personality, and ability to make others laugh will be remembered by all who knew her.

Sharon’s love, strength, and devotion to her family will continue to live on through those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

In honor of Sharon’s spirit, her family asks that she be remembered for her joy, her laughter, and her simple wish for others to just be “happity.”

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, May 18, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow the service at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, May 17th and from 11:00am until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
