Richard Monroe Clark

March 28, 1955 - July 21, 2018

Richard Monroe Clark, 63, of Owensboro, passed away July 21, 2018. He was born in Owensboro to the late Remuis Monroe and Elizabeth Ray Clark.

Richard was an Owensboro High graduate and earned a degree in welding from Owensboro Technical College. He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. Richard qualified as sharpshooter with the M-16 and earned the hand grenade bar. His last duty assignment was Engineer BN/ED. He joined out of Louisville and completed his service in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Richard was a certified heavy equipment operator, certified welder and a truck driver. He enjoyed teaching people his trades, hunting, fishing, and watching old western movies and Sci-Fi shows.

Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Jeremy Allen Clark in September of 2017.

He is survived by his children, Cory E. Clark (Michelle) of Sacramento, KY, Ryan M. Clark (Vanessa) of Gillette, Wyoming and Kathleen “Katie” M. Clark Allen (Arthur) of Rozet, Wyoming; six grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth A. Clark (Sheree), Melinda Y. Clark (David), Nadine Clark Roberts (Frank) and Nancy F. Roberts, all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 26 at Southside Fellowship Church, 2804 Veach Rd. Owensboro, KY 42303. Visitation for friends and family will be at church from 2:00 until 4:00 PM.
