Patrick “Big Yeck” William Yeckering, 73, of Owensboro, passed away on May 25, 2026. He was born in Daviess County, KY, on July 28, 1952, to the late Martin Lawrence Yeckering and Carmel Ruth Yeckering.
Patrick played football for Owensboro Catholic High and was proudly known as “The Bull.” He enjoyed camping, UK basketball, cookouts, video games, and music, especially heavy metal. He loved his family, his puppies, and spending time with those who meant the most to him. Patrick played on many softball teams throughout the years but was best known for his time with the Southside Softball team.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rob Clouse, and siblings, Tony Yeckering, Martin Ray Yeckering, Diane Oliver, and Mike Yeckering.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Judy Boarman Yeckering; daughter, April Wathen; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; siblings, Steve Yeckering, , Sandy Sims, Tom Yeckering and Bryan Yeckering; mother-in-law, Toby Boarman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
