Marilyn Sue Miller, 78, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House. She was born October 14, 1947 in Daviess County to the late Haynes and Doretta Miller. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and nana. She had a 20-year career as a nurse, working in several local nursing homes where she took excellent care of the residents. Marilyn was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Cody Scott Glover.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rufus “R.M.” Miller; her daughters, Vickie Lynn Miller and Kathy Ann Miller, both of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Hagan Glover and Samantha Glover Garrett (Zach); her great-grandchildren, Kensleigh Lane Glover, Kyndall Nicole Glover, Cameron James Patton, Collin Grace Story, Miller Prince Scott Story, and Noelynn Brooks Garrett; her brother, Michael Miller (Jackie); her nephew, Mickey Miller; and her niece, Rosemary Neal.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Buck Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a comfort meal at the church following the burial. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory and again on Wednesday from 11:00am until the time of the service at the church.
