Tony Coin 70, of Island, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026 at his home in Island. Anthony Bryan Coin was born December 6, 1955 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Frederick Allen and Viola Jean Edmonds Coin, was married to the former Cecilia Gayle Payne, until her death on November 29, 2000, and was better known as ‘Tony’ to both his family and friends.
Tony retired from Swedish Match in Owensboro, was a member of Island Baptist Church, and attended Island United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Tony was preceded in death by his stepfather, Orin Fagala; by a brother, Ardy Benton Coin; by two sisters, Brenda Abney and Karen Crowe; and two stepbrothers, Jim Fagala and Mike Fagala.
Tony is survived by a son, Bryan Coin (Katy) of Maceo; two grandchildren, Amryn Coin and Axton Coin; a brother, Barry Coin (Kathy) of Island; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joint funeral services for Tony and his mother, Jean Coin Fagala will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Tony’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
