Robert “Bob” Allen Wahl, 93, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. He was born on Sept. 19, 1932, in Owensboro, KY, to the late Leslie and Ina (Jackson) Wahl. Bob was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Owensboro. He worked 25 years as a draftsman at Green River Steel Mill, then worked another 16 years at Hendrick Screen Company, before retiring. Bob enjoyed playing Bridge and tennis and loved to armchair-coach UK Wildcat basketball and football games with family members. He took great pride in growing the best backyard tomatoes in the neighborhood and enjoyed family vacations at Panama City Beach and Gulf Shores. He also looked forward to just sitting on his front porch and visiting with neighbors and family.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Roselle Wahl; sisters, Wanda Lee (Wahl) Hufnagel and Jean (Wahl) Lindow; brother, David Wahl; nephew, Jim Lindow; and brothers-in-law, Jack Hufnagel and Robert Lindow.
Survivors include his two daughters, Katherine Wahl-Wiggins and Amy (Rodger) Wahl-Brumley; brother, Gary (Linda) Wahl, sister, Suzanne (Billy) Blandford; sister-in-law, Linda (Wahl) Otahal; grandchildren, Emily Wiggins, Sierra Brumley (Dalton Ashley), and Shaun Brumley; great-grandson, Jameson Ashley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
