Patricia “Patsy” Ruth Edge Bennett, 83, passed away at her home, on Thursday, June 18, 2026., surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on November 12, 1942 in Daviess County to the late Patrick and Anna Leah Payne Edge. Patsy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith and loved being in church. Patsy enjoyed playing cards with her family, quilting with her friend, Meledia, gardening and canning, but most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold “Tommy” Bennett and her siblings Joe Edge, Margaret Edge, Bobby (Lilian) Edge and James Edward Edge.
Patsy is leaving behind her four daughters, Sharon (Jim) Hall, Anna (Jeff) Carrico, Pamela (Richard) Myers and Mary (Dirk) Boaz; her eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and her siblings, Anna (Bob) Turner, Joyce (Tony) Mills, Mary (Buck) Isbill and Dottie Payne.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. William Catholic Church in Philpot, KY, with burial following at St. William Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
