Loura Ann House, 62, of Beaver Dam, passed away on June 18, 2026, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born on April 25, 1964, in Cooke County, Illinois, to Kenneth and Elvira Simpson.
Loura devoted many years to caring for her children as a homemaker, pouring her love into her family every day. Later in life, one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed crafting and had a special talent for painting ceramic figures, creating many treasured pieces over the years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elvira Autry-Simpson, nephew, Daniel Gilstrap, and her daughter-in-law, Amber House.
Left to cherish her memory is husband of 43 years, John House; children, Josh (Gerri) House, Amber Cardwell, Caleb House, and Joseph House; father, Kenneth Simpson; siblings, Selena Gilstrap, Cindy (Mike) Daughtery, Wade (Paula) Simpson, and David (Tina) Simpson; 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
