Bobby Neal Scarbrough, 88, passed away on Friday, June 26th, 2026 at Signature Healthcare in Hartford, KY. He was born on June 18th, 1938. The son of the late Raymond Scarbrough and Lona Forgy Scarbrough. He was of the Baptist faith and was known for his strong work ethic throughout his life. He worked for many years in the coal mines before later working in the oil field. In addition to his work, he was a devoted farmer. He was never one to shy away from hard work. He had a generous and compassionate heart, especially for children in need, and was always willing to lend a helping hand or make a donation to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, James, RB, Billy, Ernest, and Elwood as well as four sisters, Francis, Ruby, Effie, and Nadine.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY, officiated by Bro. Cody Crowell. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years — Guyanna Scarbrough
