POWDERLY – Lilly Belle Pendley, 82, of Powderly, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. She was born on March 13, 1944 to Henry Jarvis and Flora Belle Jarvis Case. She was an active member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church. She retired in 2006 from the Muhlenberg County Board of Education where she worked as a cafeteria manager. Lilly loved long conversations with family and friends, listening to gospel music, baking delicious pies, sewing, and taking golf cart rides. Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Jarvis and Flora Belle Jarvis Case; siblings, Hazel Benzel, Mary Alvarez, and John Jarvis; and granddaughter, Maggie Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Pendley; siblings, Barbara Sue Jones, and Henry David Jarvis, Jr; sons, Donald Lynn Pendley, Jr., Michael Pendley, and Jonathan (Julie) Pendley; daughter, Sarah (Lenny) Pendley; granddaughters, Hailey, and Hannah Pendley, and Kristen (Shawn) Rudd; three great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday at 10AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
