John Glenn Land, better known as “Johnny,” 64, of Owensboro, passed away on July 4, 2026, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky – Heartford House. He was born on March 1, 1962, in Daviess County to loving parents, Morton and Bobbie Land.
Johnny will be remembered for his kind heart and the love he had for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Bobbie Land, and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Redfern and Foster Lee.
He is survived by his sisters, Phillis Redfern of Delavan, Wisconsin, and Pam Lee of Owensboro; his brother, Steve Land and his wife, Janet, of Owensboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Johnny spent his later years at Fern Terrace Lodge, where he was happy and surrounded by a caring and loving staff. In his final days at the Heartford House, he received exceptional care.
A private graveside service will be held at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
