Rachel Michelle Goatee, 39, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026. She was born on November 4, 1986, to the late Rickey Dean Goatee and Margaret (Risse) Goatee.
Rachel’s face always lit up whenever she saw her brother, Joe, and the bond they shared held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and traveling to explore new places. Rachel found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the memories she made with those she loved.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings, Michael (Mia) Goatee and Christopher Goatee, both of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph Goatee and Paul Goatee, both of Owensboro, KY; and her nieces and nephews, Alex, Emily, Jonnie, and Abby.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
