
Richard “Rick” Berry Kulka, 78, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was born December 19, 1947 in Washington D.C. to the late Joseph Andrew and Mary Margaret Berry Kulka, Jr. Richard retired from Walmart and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and collecting Western Movies and attending Catholic High School football games with his cousin, Dick Berry.
Richard was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Andrew “Andy” Kulka III and Stephen Michael “Steve” Kulka and sisters, Susan “Sue” Hager and Karla Cox.
He is survived by his brothers, John (Betsy) Kulka of Knoxville, TN, and Ned (Sharon A.) Kulka of Stevensville, Michigan, nieces and nephews, Joe, Steve, and Brian Cox, Ben Kulka, and Kristen Thompson, all of Owensboro, Elizabeth Finley of Washington, D.C., and Mary Helen Kulka of Stevensville, several great nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Sharon K. Kulka of Owensboro, and a brother-in-law, Eric Hager of Washington, D.C.
The Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of prayers at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
