Michael Donovan Moorman, Sr.

July 29, 1950 - July 3, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael (Bo Dean) Donovan Moorman, Sr. on July 3, 2026 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana at the age of 75. Michael was born in Owensboro, Ky. to the late Earl Joseph Sr. and Sallye Frances Taylor Moorman. He lived a life marked by love, compassion, strength, and deep devotion to his family.

He spent over 40 dedicated years working for Southwire Aluminum where he was known for his work ethic, kindness, and commitment to helping others. He enjoyed his time as a mechanic working on cars with his brother (Bruh) Willbur Mays, watching westerns, and spending time with family and friends. His selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. He left a lasting impression on others, and will continue to be loved and respected by many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate Patricia (Trish) Moorman; four daughters, Maria Tapp, Michelle Moorman, Brandy Moorman, and Heather Moorman; two sons, Michael Moorman Jr., and Jonathan Moorman; three brothers, Dewayne Moorman, Adrian Moorman, and Earl Moorman Jr.; one sister, Angela Moorman; as well as 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Joseph Moorman, Russell Moorman, Martin Moorman, Louis Moorman; three sisters, Regina Adams, Teresa Durr, and Velita Douglas; daughter, Miyosha Moorman; and a grandson Jakai Moorman.

Out of deep respect for his wishes, there will be no services.
